Thank you so much for your continued support! We have great news for you! We are now having our free, Saturday morning weekly walk, at Parham Bridges Park on the corner of Old Canton and Ridgewood Road at 8 am! This location was chosen due to it being a more central location, along with more favorable walking conditions to include a shaded path with trees. We ask that all walkers park on the side of Ridgewood Road next to playground, and not the tennis courts. This is where we will meet, and perform our pre-walk stretching.
For some of you who may not know, some of the benefits of walking include reducing stress, having a more toned and conditioned body as well as improved overall health. Be sure to hydrate properly, dress for the weather, and bring your family and friends! Thank you for making our program a success! Come out and achieve your weight loss goals. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Quinn Family Care Walkers for Life Program is designed to promote health and wellness. This program will educate the public about the importance of health, and demonstrate ways to enhance one's physical and mental well-being. This will be accomplished via the web site which will have weekly updates of medical knowledge as well as community health events. We will assist you to reach your health goals. Many people suffer from many chronic conditions to include diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. All of these medical conditions can be deadly if not controlled. Weight loss can help control many of these conditions and possibly save lives. Our objective is to help people live healthier lives. We will access your success by monitoring our progress with a pedometer (electronic device to record steps) provided to participants at no charge by visions physical therapy. Participants will also be given a two-week trial membership to the downtown YMCA. Participants will be divided into groups based on their physical abilities. Participants can advance to a more intense group as their level of fitness increases. We will also have guest speakers from the medical field to provide information on various topics to help educate you. Examples of these speakers will include dietitians, trainers, and general physicians.
